IoT Healthcare Software

About

A major Healthcare provider to the NHS has built a low cost IoT temperature and humidity monitoring solution to satisfy the legislative and regulatory requirements for blood monitoring and control.

Ndevr were contracted to build the web based portal and intergation to the IoT sensor technology designing and implementing an AWS IoT Cloud based solution.

Challenges

High volume IOT device deployment [sensors]
Collate and process data to make rapid decisions on the state of assets in environmentally managed locations [critical asset alarming]
Inform support staff if assets or location environment metrics [e.g. temperature, humidity, etc] fall outside acceptable limits
Management Information
Client administrator configuration including how to determine which personnel are on duty to receive alert communications, etc.

Solution

Ndevr worked closely with the IoT hardware/firmware manufacturer and the client to design, build and implement a web based portal solution for the remote monitoring and alarm management around temperature and humidity for a number of different client applications. Ndver were responsible for the data modelling and portal application design and implementation and for the design and build of the client IT hosted infrastructure and AWS IoT services layer.

Ndevr worked with the client to produce a definitive set of documented support procedures and tender documents covering implementation services and training.

Continuing Benefits

  • The ability to continue development to extend functionality and functionality sophistication
  • The ability to interface with additional Applications
  • The ability to “white label” the web portal and to brand as required for Value Added Resellers [VARs]
  • The ability to totally revise the User Experience without having to change the data architecture or business logic.
  • An optimised performance, security and resilient deployment environment on the Client’s premises.
